Ronald Reagan Washington Airport (DCA) - Guide to Washington (DCA) Airport
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) - Guide to Washington (IAD) Airport

Washington is well set up as far as travel options go, both within the city center and the outlying areas. The city is well covered by public buses run by the Metro Authority. Metro buses are an inexpensive way to travel within the city, although exact change is required. Supplementing the bus system is the Metro Rail Line, which runs from 05:30 to 00:00 from Monday through to Friday and from 08:00 to 02:00 on weekends. Trains are fast, clean and reliable.

The city is surrounded by a freeway known as 'The Beltway', which provides good links throughout the city, as well as to nearby areas in Virginia and Maryland. Be aware that Washington traffic can be quite heavy, especially during peak times (08:00 to 09:30 and 16:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Friday).

Washington is served by three airports: Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport. All three are fully modern facilities, with Dulles Airport being the largest by far.
